BTL Advertising

Targeted, addressable work that can be measured to the response.

Below-the-line advertising is the precise end: communication aimed at a defined audience rather than broadcast at a market, where every piece can be traced to a response. It is where budgets go when reach has already been bought and the job is now to convert it.

At Prism we excel in crafting impactful BTL strategies that cut through a cluttered landscape. That covers the point of sale, where the purchase decision is actually made, direct and addressable channels that speak to named customers, and the trade materials your sales team carries into a meeting.

With our expertise in these areas, we guarantee that your brand will leave a lasting impression on your target audience, ensuring increased brand recognition and maximum impact, and, unlike mass media, a number at the end of it.

What this includes

  • Direct mail campaigns
  • Point-of-sale (POS) and in-store communication
  • Danglers, wobblers, shelf strips and floor graphics
  • Brochures, leaflets and product catalogues
  • Trade marketing collateral: planograms and detail aids
  • Corporate stationery and sales kits
  • Loyalty and CRM mailers
  • Promotional mechanics and on-pack offers

What it gets you

  • Communication at the shelf, where the decision gets made
  • Response you can count, not impressions you have to model
  • A sales team that walks in with materials that actually help them

Common questions

BTL Advertising,
answered

How is BTL different from experiential marketing?
BTL is the communication: the materials, mailers and point-of-sale pieces. Experiential is the live event or activation itself, with staff, sampling and an audience present. They are usually briefed together, and we run both.
Can BTL work be measured?
That is the point of it. Direct mail is measured on response rate, POS on sell-through in the stores that carried it against those that did not, and promotional mechanics on redemption.
Do you produce as well as design the materials?
Yes. We design, produce and install, including retail fixtures and in-store branding, so what is approved on screen matches what stands in the aisle.
